Single Spin Horses: Horse sequences of several movies are projected onto a DVD surface. The piece is a tribute to Muybridge, the photographer whose motion-studies of a galloping horse in the late nineteenth century are considered by many the inception of Film.
Single Spin Fight: Fight sequences of several movies are projected onto a DVD surface. Due to the DVD’s mirrored surface, the projection is reflected onto the opposite wall, creating an abstract double of the films. The piece explores the short life expectancy of the technologies we cast off, and how we are a society entranced by flickering images and the “light -mirrors” we create.
